+ | I am hearing that if you have contact with people in a correctional setting, you can set up a vaccination appointment. Call 800-813-2000 for more information. I have heard that you might not have to be a Kaiser member. Appointments in the Portland metro area are booked up until Thursday. There are instructions on how to set up an appointment starting this Thursday. I do not know what documentation is required to show that you have contact with people in correctional settings, if any.
+ | ---------------------
+ | This worked for me with Kaiser. When I got to the scheduler a few minutes ago (hold time 25 minutes), I learned that the soonest available appointment is 2/4 in Longview. I booked it and was told that was the last slot available. I was also told that after midnight tonight, additional appointments will become available at Kaiser Tualatin or Interstate. It is correct that you do not have to be a Kaiser member, but it is helpful if you have recently been a member of Kaiser because they’ll want to try to look up their medical records for you.
+ | --------------------
+ | I’m going through Kaiser as a member (dose one next Mon.) and the Kaiser folks said I wouldn’t be able to state a preference on which shot I get, so not sure which version Kaiser is doling out, kind of sounded like whatever is available is what you get. I can report back.
+ | -------------------
+ | Call Kaiser at (877) 792-6282. They will walk you through it. If you’ve been a patient of theirs within the last few years it goes faster. Otherwise you’ll have to get an Oregon health record number which could take one to two weeks longer. They will explain all that to you when you call, how to make sure you qualify and what to bring to prove it when you arrive.
+ | ----------------------
+ | I just called Kaiser again and after being on hold for 33 minutes; I got a vaccine appointment for Saturday 1/16/21 in the Tualatin office…. so even though they say they don’t have any more appointments, they really do.
+ | -------------------
+ | So I called Kaiser and have an appointment this Saturday for the first dose. They asked for a code from my employer. I told them I had a letter and not a code and they just told me to bring the letter and some form of proof of employment (i.e. badge is what they said). I was able to schedule right away because I had a Kaiser medical number. I believe if you do not have a medical number at Kaiser they will create a number for you and call you back within 3 days to schedule you for the vaccine.
+ | ---------------------
+ | If you went through the website or covid phone route, they make you wait to receive a member code. If you have been part of kaiser before, they will use your old code. When you call, go through the system as if you are scheduling a regular appointment then when you speak with a person, you will get a slot of Saturday in Tualatin.

Oregon Health Authority Medical Isolation and Quarantine Bench Book, 2019
"I was just appointed on a medical commitment case. Client tested positive for COVID and doesn’t like the idea of being forced into quarantine. The rules are very similar to a civil commitment case. It is very likely we will start seeing these cases all over the state. The court gave me a copy of the bench book for these hearings."
