I finally figured out how to embed video from Vimeo. Phew.

If you haven't seen this demonstration of specific police officer holds and takedowns, you really should watch it. Chris Hutt, one of our investigators, was trained at the police academy and he shows how to do all the most common holds using Todd Huegli, one of MPD's attorneys. He also fits each hold into the larger use of force scheme and gives an excellent objective perspective of the thinking process of police officers on the streets.
