Stops - Extension – Investigation During Records Check Okay
Ten minutes is not an unreasonable time for a records check during a traffic stop. Since in this case, all investigation including questioning and a warrants check took place during the ten minute record check, the stop was not temporally extended and was therefore legal. State v. Watson, 353 Or. __ (July 5, 2013).
