So a new law was passed that may eventually help sex offenders -- particularly low-risk sex offenders -- end their registration requirements. But it's a multi-year process. If you go to the Board of Parole website, at least as of today March 27, 2014, you may find something that looks like this:

Important Information about HB2549 and Sex Offender Notification
Pursuant to the passing of House Bill 2549 in July 2013, Oregon law requires the Board to complete sex offender risk assessments for all convicted and registered sex offenders in Oregon who have not yet been subject to such assessments by the Department of Corrections, the Psychiatric Security Review Board or an Oregon community corrections agency. Those assessments are to be completed by December 1, 2016.
important: The notification level system and processes for re-classification and/or relief from registration will not be in effect until January 1, 2017.

I have been told that as administrative rules and procedures are passed, the site will be updated with the new information. Already on that cite, you can click on a link that provides a great deal of information. For example, if you are currently registering, but not on supervision, you may be getting a letter soon letting you know how the risk assessment will be accomplished.

In sum, get some useful details from that site now, and check back regularly as they complete the work on the regulatory scheme.

Try this link as well, but just remember that this data may become outdated quickly as progress is made.
