One of the many tragic aspects of the immigration/deportation system is that once a person has been swept up by ICE it's damn near impossible to track them down. Until now. Now you can use this handy dandy Online Detainee Locator System to find your client, brother, mom, friend or spouse.

And once you go to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement website to find someone, you might just stay for the stories. Like this ancient Egyptian sarcophagus, found in a routine search and paraded around for press conferences. I'm not sure what I find most fascinating about this story. That this 5 billion dollar, 400 office, worldwide agency got so excited about a routine search? Or that someone tried to check through a ginormous, ancient sarcophagus with the apparent belief that nobody would notice a ginormous, ancient sarcophagus amongst all the suitcases and golf clubs? Or is it the fact that the PR people for ICE have special jackets to announce that they only do PR work? It's all so great there's no way to choose.
