It's been awhile since I've written about this, but here's a good story where a 2nd Amendment challenge was successfully made on behalf of a man who had a forty-year old marijuana possession charge. That old conviction kept him from getting a license to carry.

Admittedly, you couldn't get better facts for a challenge like this. But it's a start, and one wonders how the court would respond if a person's only disqualifying conviction is an old marijuana felony (which hasn't been expunged for whatever reason but is no longer a crime in Oregon.)
